Off-centered Labels?
Understanding Label Shifting
During the converting process, labels can shift up to 1/16th of an inch in any direction. To ensure all important elements are included, your artwork must meet our safe zone and bleed requirements:
- Safe Zone: 0.125" inside the cut line
Bleed: 0.125" outside the cut line
Why It Matters
- Safe Zone: Anything within this area won’t risk being cut off, but the label can shift up to the safe zone border.
- Smaller Labels and Borders: Shifting can appear more noticeable on small labels or designs with borders close to the safe zone, as they are more susceptible to visible shifting.
See the diagram below for examples of standard shifting that can occur:
We guarantee shifts will not exceed 1/16th of an inch. If you’re concerned about how this might impact your design, contact us! We’d be happy to help troubleshoot and share ideas to minimize the appearance of shifting.
