Food Safety and Our Products
At Sttark, our products are designed for indirect contact with food and cosmetics, and as such, they are not classified as food-safe materials.
Understanding Food Contact Substances (FCS)
The FDA regulates materials that come into contact with food or cosmetics under strict guidelines. These materials are categorized into two types:
- Direct Contact Substances:
- These materials come into direct contact with the product (e.g., supplement bottles, food wrappers).
- They are subject to stricter regulations due to their direct exposure to consumables or cosmetics.
- Indirect Contact Substances:
- These materials do not come into direct contact with the product.
Examples include labels applied to the outside of food cartons, bags, or pouches.
Our Products
- Labels: Applied to the outer packaging and do not touch the product directly.
Cartons: Designed to hold packaging containers, not to come into contact with the product itself.
Because our materials are intended for indirect contact, FDA documentation for food safety is typically unnecessary.
If you have questions about our materials or their intended use, please contact our Customer Care Team.
